What documents to upload

Every form shows its own checklist before you start. Most ask for some combination of the following.

• □Aadhaar card — identity and address
• □10th marksheet — name spelling and date of birth, which most forms treat as authoritative
• □Highest qualification marksheet or degree
• □Category certificate, if you are claiming a category
• □Passport-size photograph and signature
• □Bank passbook first page, for anything that pays you

Why the 10th marksheet matters most

Where documents disagree on your name or date of birth, recruitment bodies almost always treat the 10th marksheet as the correct one. Your form is filled to match it, which is why it is asked for even when the form does not mention it.
